Russell "Rusty" Rahm brings a passion for the outdoors and more than two decades of direct- and retail-marketing experience to his role as head of Wake Effects, LLC. Outside of his professional responsibilities, Rusty Rahm owns and drives a powerboat in national and world racing championships.

Mr. Rahm’s achievements as a boat owner and rookie driver were featured in a December 2016 Mercury Racing article. His team’s 48-foot MTI catamaran Wake Effects won the 2016 Super Boat International (SBI) Superboat Unlimited class world championship.
Powered by Mercury Racing 1650 competition engines, Wake Effects took sixth place in the opening race and finished second in the next event. This positioned Wake Effects for a chance at the ultimate prize in the final round of the three-day competition. With the last event counting double toward points, victory in the event gave the team the world championship, a full nine points beyond second-place finisher Team CRC Sunlight Supply.
In accepting accolades for the unexpected victory as a first-year Superboat Unlimited competitor, Mr. Rahm emphasized the importance of finishing every race, as neck-and-neck competitor Cat Can Do failed to complete the final course.
